Geartrain

There is a difference between having gears that barely turn, and having a train that turns effortlessly. Thus my training continued to care of the going train, starting with theory and proper lubrication of the hairspring and barrel and continuing to the escape pinion. Every piece checked for the right endshake (vertical clearance of the axel), minimal sideshake (horizontal play of the pivots), clearance between components, division (vertical alignment of the wheels and pinions), and flatness.
