Steel Angular Rule

A flat steel piece with 45 and 60-degree angles, used judge the angle of cones while hand-turning. Finished with an off-angle straight-grain.

While seemingly simple, this project held its own challenges. First because it was my first time working with steel and experiencing how much more difficult it is than brass. Second because the arrangement of sharp angles required a strategic approach to cutting and filing the piece to shape all the edges to tolerance.
